The Herbalist’s Path: Class Details
The changing of the seasons brings with it a shifting landscape of medicinal plants, each with its own unique properties and benefits. This three-part plant walk series takes participants into the field to learn about the healing power of wild plants, guided by the rhythms of nature. Each class combines foraging, plant identification, and medicine-making, equipping participants with the knowledge to work with the land and create their own seasonal herbal remedies.
Spring Plant Walk: Creating a Spring Wellness Routine

Spring is a time of renewal, and this session focuses on the plants that emerge after winter’s rest. Participants will identify and harvest early spring herbs known for their detoxifying, energizing, and immune-supporting properties. The workshop includes a discussion on incorporating spring herbs into daily wellness practices, as well as a hands-on activity to create a personalized wellness routine tailored to seasonal transitions.
Summer Plant Walk: Herbal First Aid Kit Preparation

The height of summer brings an abundance of medicinal plants, many of which have applications in first aid. This workshop focuses on identifying herbs with antimicrobial, wound-healing, and skin-soothing properties. Participants will forage for key plants and work through the process of making an herbal first aid kit—including salves, tinctures, and poultices for common ailments such as cuts, burns, and insect bites.

Fall Plant Walk: Building a Cold & Flu Prevention Roadmap

As the seasons shift, the body must prepare for cooler months ahead. In this session, participants will explore immune- and lung-supportive herbs available in the fall, learning how to identify them in the wild. You'll be guided through the creation of a personalized cold and flu prevention plan using both wildcrafted and cultivated herbs.
