Queen of Hungary Body Oil
Queen of Hungary Body Oil
Feed your skin with a timeless recipe
The Queen of Hungary oil is a vitalizing body tonic that rejuvenates and refreshes the skin. Made from fresh lemon balm, chamomile, roses, calendula, comfrey leaf, rosemary, and sage from my garden to bring you a luxurious oiling experience. It’s a gorgeous herbal formula hailed as one of the first herbal products ever produced and marketed. Legend has it that the early Gypsies formulated it and claimed it to be a cure-all. While I cannot claim that, I will tell you that it’s a beautiful one of the world’s finest cosmetic formulas.
About Body Oiling
When we think about taking herbal medicine, we tend to imagine tinctures, pills, teas, or some other way of the full spectrum of herbal benefits by mouth. But we forget the skin is our largest organ, and absorbent is directly linked through various pathways to the immune, lymphatic, and nervous systems. When we keep the body hydrated with fats such as oil as opposed to water found in lotions, we can help our bodies stay nourished, balanced, and running smoothly. Herbal oils for the body are one of the simplest yet most profound forms of plant medicine. They not only provide holistic healing for the body but earth-based rituals of vital self-care.
Prepare your skin for body oiling by taking a bath or shower. Then, lay a towel on your bed or floor and place your oil next to you. You may perform the massage either lying or sitting down on the towel.
Pour some oil into your hands and begin by massaging the feet. Use your thumbs to apply slow, firm, circular pressure to the bottoms and tops of the feet, and massage each of your toes. Then move onto your ankles, calves, knees, and thighs. Take deep, slow breaths as your massage, applying more oil as needed.
Continue massaging your hips, abdomen, and lower back, turning onto your side as needed. Next, massage the abdomen and chest using broad, circular, clockwise motions. Finally, continue rubbing your hands, wrists, arms, elbows, shoulders, upper back, and neck. Keep applying more oil as needed, and do your best to stay present and focused on the sensations in your body. If you are using a pure, gentle oil like jojoba, feel free to massage your face, giving special attention to your jaw and temples.
To finish, put on warm socks, cotton clothes, or a cozy robe. Lay still for a few minutes and simply breathe and enjoy being in your relaxed body.
Consult expert medical advice before using during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Keep out of the reach of children.
